Former Crossville Quarterback Ganon Pointer announced late Saturday via Twitter that he would be joining the Vanderbilt Commodores football team this upcoming fall. The 5-foot-9 Pointer looks to pick up some early playing time with a struggling Commodore offense. Derek Mason Vanderbilt head coach, spoke highly of Pointer in a recent interview with breakingnews247.net. Mason said," Pointer will bring a strong arm from Alabama... his film really impressed us and we are excited to have an under the radar Quarterback coming to his new home in Nashville." Pointer will depart for Fall camp with the Commodores early Monday morning where he will be there for the 6 A.M. workout with the team.
