Washington, D.C. ~ It was announced today that the Thomas Jefferson Memorial will be sold and turned into a Starbucks and “Safe Place”. Jefferson who owned more slaves than any of the other 16 slave owning U.S. Presidents, at one time he had over 600 slaves on his plantation and fields. The statue of Jefferson will be replaced by a 14 foot tall snowflake.
In a related story, the George Washington Monument seems to be safe for the time being. Women's groups felt the shape of the monument was too intimidating and not a safe place that could be used for their agenda, although the makers of Viagra, Cialis, and Bill Clinton have expressed interest in buying the monument. Washington owned 317 slaves while serving as President.
