Tulsa's Golden Driller, a 75 foot tall statue, and the fifth tallest statue in the United States, has been ordered to come down by a Tulsa County Court judge.
In a lawsuit against Tulsa, local civil rights groups claim the statue is offensive to people who are obese, and to those who have golden skin. When asked why the statue was offensive to the obese, a local woman stated the statue weighs more than 43,000 pounds. What sense that makes, we will never know.
As for the golden skin issue, sources have confirmed the issue is to protect the feelings of local chickens who have been beer battered and deep fried to a cripsy golden-brown.
