A smiling Jim Smith was awarded administrator of the year today by a group of veteran teachers when it was discovered that he had been a teacher decades before becoming an administrator. In Jim's acceptance speech he said, "I'm really proud to accept this honor, and must say that I had no idea that being a substitute teacher back in my 20s would help me to stand as an educational administrator. It's almost as if someone cares that I know something about the decisions I make about education and teaching!".
