Speaking on condition of anonymity, an American Facebook user has confessed to believing almost everything that is posted by friends on Facebook. "I've always been told it's advisable to check my sources, so I always check to confirm that what I read has been posted by one of my friends. My friends would never lie to me, so when one of them posts something, I know it must be true." says this Facebook user. When asked what happens when various posts tell a conflicting story, this user replied, "I usually just go with my gut. If it seems pretty likely that it could be true, I know it must be true - especially if it was posted by someone who agrees with me, because then I know for sure I can really trust them. On the other hand, if it's something I totally disagree with, I know it must be totally bogus. I mean, if it was true, I would probably already know about it."
