Interpol investigators of the fake news factories and internet "Troll Farms" in Veles, Macedonia were astonished by the discovery that most of the production was not by human beings - but actual trolls ("Troli" or "Vodniki" in the local parlance). The nocturnal beings worked throughout the night, chained to benches and punching oversized keys for a bowl of gruel, then falling asleep at sunrise in the place where they'd been sitting. The smaller "vodniki" were then forced to edit copy in dimly-lit garrets
"While grotesque, the creatures were clearly being trafficked and enslaved, and hence fall under the Palermo Protocol against trafficking" said Ronald Hongwei, Interpol's Chief Inspector. Predictably, both Trump and Putin have labeled the report itself "fake news."
"Crook-eed Hill-oh-rii" says a "trol" who authored over 41,000 articles in the space of less than 3 months.
