It was confirmed by Bighit Entertainment at 12pm kst that Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook are engaged. The company made the following statement "Before BTS got any bigger we wanted to let fans know that we support all the boys of BTS 100 percent. We fully except that Jimin and Jungkook wanted to finally get engaged. We of course did not release this information without them being okay with it". This following statement was said by Jimin "We were afraid of losing fans, friends, even family members. I feel like we did the right thing though because we are in love. I hope are fans will continue to support us and the other boys as we continue are career". This was followed by a lot of supportive fans saying "About time, we support you 100 percent" "No matter what we will support all of the boys 100 percent no matter what others think". Others were outraged "I refuse to support a group that out right supports gays" "I will be canceling my pre-order for the new album coming out and refuse to support a group with two gays in it".
