Starting on October 13, 2017, Hershey shall cease production of all chocolate bars and candy with the exception of 'Reese Cups' and 'Reese's Pieces'. The major operational reduction is projected to prevent the extinction of the cocoa plant which has been ravaged in recent years by the increasing demand of chocolate. Although the most candy will no longer be produced, they should be available throughout the Halloween holiday.
