Olive Garden announced ambitious plans Monday morning for a new chain of drive-thru restaurants. The new chain, Pronto!, will feature many of the Italian-America’s favorite dishes as well as dozens of new items.
“We’ve been interested in bringing the same traditional, family-style Italian delicacies to-go for a long time now” Darden Restaurants Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dave George said at a news conference. “This is the right development, at the right time, and in the right place.”
The very first Pronto! will be opening its doors in Irvine, California at the end of next month, and will further expand to Portland and Seattle before the end of the year.
