Detectives investigating the murder of Jack Blackwood and six others in south London have issued images of a man they would like to trace.
Ben Strike, 17, of Bristol, was stabbed in the leg multiple times, and left bound to a chair detectives received the alarming news but sadly the boy was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, despite efforts to revive him.
His next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination took place on Saturday, 4 October, and gave cause of death to be stab wounds.
The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating. There have been no arrests and a week on from the murder, detectives will be visiting the area to appeal directly to the public for information.
Detective have released images of a male they would like the public's help to trace, and officers would also like to hear from anyone who has come across a silver Rolex watch, which was stolen from Ben in the attack.
Detective Inspector Jo Sidaway, who is leading the investigation, said: "We believe that Mr Strike was approached on Southmead by two suspects on a moped.
"One suspect is believed to have been in possession of what appeared to be a firearm, the other a knife.
"During an altercation Ben was stabbed and a firearm was discharged. The suspects then dragged the boy back to his house where he seems to have been tortured for quite some time
"We believe that Ben's Rolex watch was stolen in the attack, and one line of enquiry is that his death was the result of Bristol gang crime. If you have seen this watch under suspicious circumstances, please get in contact with us.
"We are also releasing images of the individual we are eager to trace and speak to. If you have any information that could help us, we would urge you to come forward as soon as possible."
Anyone that can assist the investigation can contact the incident room on 020 8721 4005, or police via 101 or Twitter @MetCC.
