A man eating turtle was captured in the sewers of New York City last week by animal control. A sewer engineer for the city was completing a routine inspection on pipes under Madison Ave when he was pulled under water. An eyewitness saw a turtle shell emerge from the water. The unidentified man was pulled to safety but was injured by the turtle. The turtle was later captured by animal control and is being held for scientific investigations. The city of New York has put out a statement warning people to stay out of the sewers for the time being. Below is a picture of the turtle being apprehended by authorities.
