In a stunning move, the US government has reversed course and denied the approval for Omaha based TD Ameritrade to buy Scottrade. In an initial statement, CEO Tim Hockey said "We thought it was a done deal, and am amazed in this reversal. We will certainly be appealing this decision." Scottrade CEO Roger Riney said "Certainly this is a huge change of heart by the government and we will re-evaluate all of our options."
