Downtown residents awoke this morning to smoke and flames. The Cobb Galleria Centre in downtown Atlanta burned to the ground overnight. Fire investigators are on the scene to determine the cause of the fire. The building was totally destroyed. A popular sneaker convention, "SneakerCon" was scheduled for 23 September, 2017 but has been canceled until futher notice. The building is relatively new, having been built in 2016. Residents are encouraged to find an alternate route when commuting in/around the area, as traffic lights are inoperable due to high heat.
