Early Tuesday morning twitter was greeted by a barrage of tweet by President Donald Trump regarding flat-earth theory. In his tweets the President sided with flat-earth theorists and called for a hearing to investigate the United States government's involvement in spherical-Earth propaganda started by his predecessors and fueled by NASA: "The Earth is flat. Walk outside! NASA has some explaining to do. I promise you that! WeWantTruth!" In another tweet he called for an investigation stating: "My predecessors Obama, Bush, Clinton - ALL LIARS! I am opening a full investigation on the matter!" In a recent poll conducted by CNN, fifty-right percent of Americans believe that the Earth is indeed flat and that NASA is just a media company that supports science fiction claims to garner interest. We have reached out to the White House and to NASA, respectively, and will update once we hear back.
