Met police to extend service for officers retiring in the next two years

The Metropolitan Police have today announced that officers retiring within the next two years are to have there service extended by an additional two years according to Richard Head the minister of finance and policing.
The move comes following the extra finances that the government has had to spend due to recent and ongoing anti terrorism campaigns in London and surrounding areas.
A spokesman for the serving officers who are due to retire soon have been fighting this decision quietly for sometime now and have not made this
Public until now. "All officers will be contacted in due course and contracts extended" further announcements will follow.
