South Suburbians Furious over Blue Island's Bridge

Fellow South Suburban Blue Island residents are furious over the Mayor's choice to ignore the residents pleas to fix their crumbling bridge. Western Ave bridge that sits over the Cal Sag Channel is slowly deteriorating.
Western Ave is also the longest stretch of road in the U.S.A. at 27 miles in length. Anyone who drives under it accessed thru Olde Western Ave can easily see this by simply looking up as they pass.
The Mayor of Blue Island was not readily available for comment. 3 of this towns bridges are what was used to cross the Channel. One bridge was finally fixed and accessible but the other bridge (Chatham bridge) was as later converted to a walkers bridge where no cars can ever pass. Still Blue Island Residents hope they will finally get the Great Western Ave Bridge fixed. Promises were made stating that repairs to this bridge would commence early 2017 but we are now going into November and no word yet on when and if they will finally repair it.
