Today at 9:37 pm, tragedy struck hard as a husband came home from work. He encountered his wife as he walked through the front of their west Indianapolis home. Only to be greeted by her nagging and complaining, as he explained, "is all she ever does".
36 year old William H. Darden, the man accused of committing such a horrible act, had an altercation with the now deceased 35 year old Tineka Sh'ree Darden, once inside the house. As he began to remove his coat to hang up in the closet, Tineka closed in with a barrage of insults, while putting her fingers in his face instigating what has now turned out to be a very tragic turn of events.
William Darden was previously diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, after serving 3 tours in Iraq and 2 tours in Afghanistan. Investigators are now looking for clues as to what could have caused his violent response. Medical records indicate that Darden was up-to-date on his meds, and that maybe he had just simply 'had enough'. Police spokesperson did not have any comments at this time, but said they will keep the media updated as the investigation progresses on.
