An African-American teen was arrested Monday evening on an aggravated assault charge.
At 4:45 p.m., Los Angeles police responded to a stabbing on 605 E Florence Avenue at the Shell Gas Station. They arrived to find the victim laying on the curb bleeding from his stomach, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reports.
Officer Dorsey attempted to speak to the man but he was very irresponsive which lead him to be immediately rushed the victim to the hospital where he evetually revealed his name.
Christopher Allen Thompson suffered many traumatic wounds in the abdomin area.
Eley explained to us that he was "provoked", but, due to there being no proof we can't follow up on that right now. The Los Angeles Sheriff Department believe that the motive behind the attack was in fact, gang related but it isn't fully confirmed; LAPD will be investigating.
