Port Dover, Ontario - OPP are on the lookout for what may be an African Elephant.

Two Port Dover residents observed what they believe to be an Elephant walking behind houses in the St. Andrew St. area around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The animal entered the park and headed onto the Lynn Valley trail, damaging several cars in it's path.

Police say the creature was described as Grey in color and measuring approximately eight feet tall and 10 feet long. Sr. Const. Andrew Trumpster says the residents who spotted the giant animal were unable to snap a photo before it disappeared onto the trail.
Officers who responded to the call noted large tracks consistent with the animal description. They attempted to follow the trail but lost sight of the tracks.

The OPP is warning residents not to approach this animal if located.
