Following LSU's 24-10 loss to Alabama on Saturday, LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva promptly terminated head coach, Ed Orgeron, who is in his first season as official head coach. "We didn't fire a 10-2 National Champion Coach to replace him with someone who can't beat Alabama," Alleva said. "Ed was a good choice at the right time, but he sold me and the board on a robust plan to beat Alabama - that's all that matters."

When informed of Orgeron's termination, Nick Saban was quick to offer him a role as a "special advisor" to special teams. Ask for comment, Coach Saban released the following statement:
"Coach Orgeron is one of the finest strategists in the game when it comes to devising on-side kicks. There's nobody better. We gladly welcome him as special advisor to special teams here at the University. We also hope he can help ole Pappanastos kick the ball a little straighter."

Saban later added in a press conference that "we told him like we tell everybody. Join our staff, or go somewhere else and lose to us every year. It's your call."

LSU is on the hook for $30million dollars to coach Orgeron over the next 4 years, while still owing current former-coach Les Miles some $9million. Former coach of LSU is the most lucrative job in Louisiana; at the rate they're going, we'll all have a shot at it soon. There's just one catch - you have to beat Bama.
