Facebook CEO, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg has officially announced that on December 15, 2017 at 8:00AM GMT, Facebook will be shut down forever.
All persons who currently have a Facebook account will no longer be able to access their accounts, and all their uploaded photos, videos and other content will be forever lost as all the Facebook servers will be purged of all data, and the company will go into a permanent closure.
The reasons behind this is because it has become increasingly evident that Facebook users seem to have no morals or decency. Facebook has turned into a modern-day digital Sodom and Gomorrah. People continually argue pointlessly, force their political, social and religious opinions on others, defame and demoralize their peers, and post inappropriate content continuously.
Facebook has also become a breeding ground for identity theft, catfishing, and other forms of deceit.
There have been reported cases of long-term friendships that have been destroyed by facebook, and even violent actions taking place in the real world because of online postings on Facebook.
Zuckerberg stated that he no longer wants to be associated with all the indecent, immoral and ungodly actions of others, and has decided to terminate the entire project for the betterment of all human-kind. When asked if he'd consider selling the proprietary foundation of Facebook to other entrepreneurs, Zuckerberg stated, "I could not live another minute with all this on my conscious. I never imagined that Facebook would degenerate into the name-calling free for all that it has fallen into. I want to once and for all wipe the slate clean!"
Beginning November 30th, notifications will go out to Facebook users to warn them to save anything they wish to retain from Facebook, because as of December 15th, Facebook will be permanently shut down, and all content will be lost for good.
