Google has today announced that it will no longer be collecting data or allowing any advertising.
In a shock move, the search engine has done a u-turn on its previous business model and will return to its roots as a “a competitive search engine that is transparent and in the academic realm,” reported Sergey Brin, founder of the search giant company.
"Google has, in recent years, made a huge amount of money as a result of its toxic policy of collecting and selling personal data. That era is about to end, and the company will return to its roots of altruism and not-for-profit developements."
