When George Perry Higby, 44 of Centralia Washington won a 4.3 million dollar jackpot in the California State Lottery he collected his winnings and moved out of state. He and partner Dale Gillette of Desert Hot Springs, California quietly packed up the cat and moved to Washington State.
They both remained anonymous until it was revealed that every dollar was donated to an unknown charity in the days after they returned to Georges' hometown.
"I really didn't believe that any amount of a million dollar win would teach me about money. I would have spent it all on Madonna memorabilia and gambling no doubt. I'm better for living pay check to paycheck. It keeps me humbled." says George
