Another prominent celebrity has been accused of sexual assault in the post-Harvey Weinstein scandal period.
A woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, has come forward to the Calgary Herald stating that Chad Kroeger, the frontman of the Canadian rock band Nickelback, sexually assaulted her at the BMG studio in 2003. At the time, Nickelback was recording their hit album "All The Right Reasons". Nickelback's label, BMG, released the following statement:
"We are aware of the allegations surrounding Chad Kroeger and take them very seriously. We will carefully evaluate the situation and make assessments in the coming days. We have no further comments."
Kroeger was married to grunge singer Avril Lavigne from 2013-2015. Neither her nor Kroeger have released statements. More information to come.
