Can you identify this woman in the photo? If so, she is sitting on a 'veritable gold mine', says one neighbor. The small town where she lives in southwestern Virginia is steeped in history, and it turns out that her house is most probably located on an important site. The name and place are being withheld for privacy reasons. One neighbor commented that "she can be seen coming & going, but no one seems to know much about her". "In this day and age, no one really knows or cares about their neighbors much, and so it makes sense to leave her well enough alone". The property is known to have been visited by such historic figures as Daniel Boone, Davey Crockett, and the inventor of the Dr. Pepper soft drink. There is evidence that early fur traders used the area for dealing with the native Indians. The woman in question has not been available for comment.
