Gary Peters, known locally as the Mayor of Red House & Eglington, has taught his best friend to skate! Gary says. " We got Horace the horse when he was a pup. Horace always loved watching hockey on the couch with my wife Karen and me. One day I had an idea that I could teach Horace to skate". Peters, being a well-known musician,carpenter,welder,lead-hand,runner and so many other things, went to work. "I took the box rails off my truck and was able to make a skate for each one of Horace's paws. Horace was a natural, took right to it. He now plays a good game of hockey. In fact, the Montreal Canadiens are in negotiations with us right now,,, he's that good!" Mr. Peters says his motto has always been,,,, " git er' done" and it seems to be paying off!
