A second winter storm is looming on the horizon for the central and eastern North Carolina region, with predictions for up to a foot or more of snow. School officials have decided to play it safe and cancel classes and all after school activities for the rest of the week. Freezing rain is predicted to begin Tuesday morning during the morning commute and some area will also experience the possibility of softball sized hail, power outages, and winter plague.
