Defying all logic Suez initiates the purge of talented operators from the GE Water acquisition by telling Rob Taylor to look for a job. Rob, the leader who built the highly profitable GE Water Outsourced Services business, then created and ran the industry leading Commercial Operations team is now out after returning to shore up the services business following the failed tenure of GE executive Mark Klaiber. Asked to explain this latest blunder, Equipment Group GM Kevin Cassidy said, "Well, it really isn't my fault. This is what the French want."

New York City based Karin Rouge of SUEZ, who was moved in over Taylor after the acquisition, is quoted as saying, "We wanted to let Robs direct reports have the opportunity to grow by challenging them to work more with people that don't know anything about running a business like this. We will try to keep customer disruption to a minimum while we are learning what makes the business tick."

Asked for comment, SUEZ competitors Evoqua, MPW, Veolia and Pall laughed out loud but were unable to offer any insight on the SUEZ action. An Ecolab Nalco executive advised that he was "very familiar" with decision making from Paris and found this latest blunder "par for the course".
