Napoleon Dynamite, played by Jon Heder, has reportedly been filling in for Nick Foles during the season's press conferences. The most notable appearance Jon Heder sat in on was the post press conference for this years SuperBowl LII in Minnesota as Nick Foles citing he didn't want to steal the spotlight from Carson Wentz's efforts to get the Philadelphia Eagles to the post season.
"I don't want to take away from everything [Carson] Wentz did for us during the regular season. He deserved to play in the SuperBowl and I feel all the credit is being given to me for the post season wins. It's been an honor to do what I did, but been emotionally overwhelming at the same time. All I asked Jon [Heder] , at minimum, to do was give God the glory during his speeches for me and he has done that and more when he fills in behind the mic. I'm grateful for his help."
Carson Wentz got injured during the middle of the season, prompting Foles to step up and fill the quarterback role. With the Eagles winning the SuperBowl , the status of Nick Foles on the roster is unknown for next season. What does this mean for the team? We will see!
As far as Jon Heder, aka Napoleon Dynamite, he said "I will continue to fill in for Nick as needed. I am in between production of two new movies and directing another so I don't mind helping out. Not just that, he offered me front row tickets to any game so I couldn't beat that. Oh, and he said he would vote for Pedro - so I couldn't resist the idea."
