Pie whose registered name is Leo’s Midnight Shadow, has been awarded a lifetime achievement award by the AQHA. She was cited for following in the footsteps of her ancestor Leo a foundational quarter horse. She was a champion rodeo horse, a beautiful graceful rodeo flag carrier, a prolific brood mare who were also birthed champion rodeo horses, and currently is a devoted friend to Tony Travis. They often take walks with each other on forrest trails. At 33 she is still in fine health.
As Pie does not like to leave the farm these day officials of the AQHA awarded the medal at her current farm. Needless to say Tony was very proud of Pie. All retired to the barn after the ceremony to celebrate with cookies
