An unattended vehicle burst into flames today behind the building of a psychology practice in Lafayette, Louisiana. One of the psychology practice administrators, Brittany Ducote, fearlessly approached the scene equipped with a fire extinguisher. Although she tried relentlessly to put the fire out, even to the extent of risking her own life, the fire persisted to engulf the vehicle. After Ducote became exhausted and weary given her extended energy expenditure, relief finally arrived and professional firefighters were able to extinguish the flames. Sadly, Ducote was not available for interview, but she has been nominated for Citizen of the Year given her bravery and unrequited efforts.
