Buffalo (AP) - The Buffalo Sabres make their long awaited return back to the Stanley Cup playoffs. Fans rejoiced over Monday night's win against rival, Toronto Maple Leafs, that clinched Sabres return to the playoffs. One fan even said, "That all the losing these past six seasons is all worth it.''
Not many expected the Sabres to find success this season, but first year head coach and Sabres legend, Phil Housley, lead the Sabres to their first successful season since the 2010-2011 season. Sabres center, Jack Eichel is quoted as saying, "The city of Buffalo deserves this as they have been through a lot disappointment these past six seasons and I'm excited to play and have home fans cheering in our home playoff games."
