The cooling system used to keep the ice frozen on both the main pad and practice pad at the Tribute Community Centre in Oshawa had went up in flames early Thursday morning. Firefighters were able to control the fire and extinguish the blaze before spreading to other areas. The damage, which is expected to be in the range of 80 to 100 thousand will take months of repair. A spokesman for the Oshawa generals, Andy Fremmel says he is hopeful it will be ready for the 2018-2019 OHL season.
