Maddie Poppe, the newest winner of American Idol, is not signing a record deal afterall.
Poppe, who won the first season on ABC, is not signing a record deal with Hollywood Records after the label passed on her after her win.
It comes as a shock to many since the winner was to get a deal with Hollywood Records, but a source said that simply Maddie Poppe was not "a good fit" on Hollywood Records and not the artist they had hoped would win the show.
Maddie Poppe and Hollywood Records had no comment on the rumor.
