Commack Long Island resident Anthony Pignataro hasn't been the same since losing his trademark moustache.
"At first I grew it because I wanted to look just like Tom Selleck, ya know, the guy from 'Magnum P.I.', and it worked good for a while".
Things took a turn for the worse however for Mr. Pignataro and his moustache, when several co-workers noticed a striking resemblance between Pignataro and rockstar icon Freddie Mercury. "Next thing I know everyone starting saying 'Hey Freddie' and asking me to sing 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Everywhere I went people thought I was him. I couldn't take it anymore".
In a desperate attempt to regain his dignity, Pignataro shaved his moustache and changed his last name to "Rufo". He is now retired and living a quiet life, but often reminisces about his missing moustache.
"Yeah, I think about it now and then.... Where it is now, what it's doing, was I mistaken for shaving it...Everything was fine until that damn 'Blue Bloods' show came on the television. Now I gotta see Tom Selleck on the screen again sporting that hunky moustache. I miss it so much!"
