Memphis police were finally given a location for money stashed by drug dealers. Last Monday 3 men were arrested for distributing narcotics and opioids over the past four years. The men were promised a lighter sentence if they would give up the location of nearly 2 million dollars from their transactions.
When the police made it to the apartment complex in the Whitehaven area they noticed a lady walking a dog and carrying a large duffel bag within the proximity of the stash.
Officers approached the lady but she would not talk to them. The female officer grabbed the bag and that is when the suspect hit the officer in the face. A fight ensued and somehow the lady delivered blows to both officers and fled the scene.
The suspect has now been identified as Rhonda R. Edwards. She is now facing charges for assaulting two officers and interfering with duties of said officers.
Rhonda Edwards was last seen running down Horn Lake Rd. yelling "I'm rich bitch!"
