Local Waterford man (Luke Walsh) who currently resides In the Kilcohan area was stopped at a routine Garda checkpoint at around 8:57pm. When the officers were checking the vehicle for tax/NCT they noticed a young female passenger, aged 12, looking very distressed. The child than began to plead with the officers to help her and she had been abducted. The culprit was removed from the vehicle and a search commenced. In the trunk they found objects of a sexual nature labeled ‘Play Toys’. The man was then taken into custody and the victim was returned to their family safe and sound. Please we urge everybody in the Waterford area to come forward with any information they might have about the suspect as it could be vital to the case.
