The so called Kingdom of Galyan has invaded the entire of South Africa. The Kingdom's allies, Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia, helped invade Brazil. After the invasion, the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, surrendered and withdrew his army. According to the leader of Galyan, Alexander North, the President is now on a plane to his personal ally, Australia. All other countries in South America have surrendered, and the President of Venezuela, has been executed by firing squad for not surrendering.
No country, even the United States has tried to defeat Galyan, because their army is small, by extremely skilled in all aspects. There is talk of world leaders allied with countries in South America coming together to try defeat Galyan. However, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, has decided to accept a peace treaty from the Senate and is attempting to make peace with Galyan. The people of the US began rioting against this action in DC, New York City, and other major cities across the US, and police forces had to be sent in.
Due to America's stance on this and the riots, there has been talk of revolution against the US government, even an invasion by Canada. So far, the Supreme Court has tried and found guilty 43 people accused of damage during the protests, and one victim had to be hospitalized. Speculators and conspiracy theorists like Stephen Hawkings had a premonition before his unfortunate death that "South would destroy the North", implying the the invasion of South America is bringing downfall to the North.
Due to all of this, Congress and President Trump agreed that there shall be a curfew from 9 to sunrise.
