An Apalachin man, reportedly, hijacked a SunBeam truck in North Carolina, and made off with table and desk lamps. According to sources, Geoffrey Jones, of Apalachin NY was visiting family and decided to supplement his retirement income by hijacking a SunBeam truck loaded with lamps. A witness stated that she heard Geoffrey yelling, as he drove away, saying "This is going to be the best garage sale ever!". The police do not know what that reference was about, but the thought the suspect would be advertising his "loot" on the internet.
If anyone sees these items for sale, they should call his wife, Sharon Jones, and encourage her to convince Geoffrey to turn himself into authorities.
A company spokesman said that these lamps are very valuable and that Mr. Jones will probably only sell them for a few dollars, which will undercut our prices and, possibly, cause SunBeam to go bankrupt!
