Victoria’s most feared prisoner escapes Ravenhall prison

Victoria police today released an urgent media release to warn the general public of Peter “Mad Dog” Bevans escape from Ravenshall prison in the outer west of Melbourne.
It was reported earlier today at 11:33am that Bevans took hostage a prison guard inside the Ravenhall prison. It is believed Bevans somehow acquired a high caliber pistol, which it is alleged was smuggled into the prison by an associate of a prison guard.
Police have advised Victorians to remain highly vigilant and not to approach Bevans if they identify him. Police have requested to immediately dial 000 to report any sightings.
It is believed Bevans is currently in hiding within the Grampians National park which he was last seen running into dense forest.
Bevans was the former sergeant in arms for the Hells Angels Victorian chapter. He was charged in 2008 for the client killing of Peter Richardson, president of the outlaw motorcycle gang, the Monguls.
