It's official: Richard Ayoade has announced that he will be replacing Jodie Whittaker as The Doctor in Series 14. He will be replacing the current Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, due to the Covid-19 pandemic affecting her relationship with the show. Not only that, but current showrunner Chris Chibnall, who is famous for 'ruining the show' thanks to many social media sites will be forced to leave too. He will be replaced by Russell T Davies, and Steven Moffat will rejoin the show as a writer. This is after the two severely complained about what Chibnall did to Whovians' hearts.
Richard Ayoade, famous for The Crystal Maze, told us "I am extremely happy to be joining a show that inspired so many generations of people. I think that Whovians needed a familiar version again, someone who they recognise and love."
Meanwhile, Chris Chibnall said that he was 'deeply depressed' from being 'kicked out', however not many agree with his ways. We need a familiar show, with familiar writers and not only familiar - but good ones too. Doctor Who needed a refresh and it is coming.
