Gov. Jay Inslee signs state wide gun band starting Monday April 6th. 2020. A firearm recovery act will be going into effect Monday as well. Inslee states there will be one week to turn in all firearms to the local law enforcement agencies. Inslee was joined at the announcement by attorney general Bob Ferguson and Washington State Patrol Chief John Batiste, who helped develooe the enforcement guidance along with other organizations representing prosecutors and law enforcement. Thousands of calls are also pouring into state and lical agencies from concerned residents, with reports that some individuals and businesses are not going to comply with this new order..
