The recent sightings of alligators at Grapevine Lake have lake goers in a panic.
A group of 9ft alligators were spotted by multiple park rangers at the southwest edge of the lake early Friday and Saturday morning. These are the first reported sighting of alligators here at this North Texas lake in two years. Texas Parks and Wildlife will continue to monitor the lake in hopes to relocate the alligators.
The recent years rains have pushed wildlife beyond their normal habitats and into North Texas recreational lakes.
Contact Texas Parks and Wildlife if you do happen to come across an alligator. Do not attempt to capture or provoke the animal, as these can be dangerous creatures.
