On Friday, 7/24/2020, Mr. Kenneth Kohles and his wife Dee, headed up Mt. Washington. This had been a dream of theirs to hike the mountain. The two had prepared for this, purchased all the necessary equipment and set out for the hike of their life. It started early in the morning and they slowly progressed up the mountain. Dee stated that the climb was like stepping up three steps at a time for 6000 feet. They were passed, along the way, by younger groups, BUT, they persevered and were set on completing their journey. It ended up taking them less than 8 hours! Once at the top, they hitched a ride back down on the railroad. It ended up taking a toll on Ken, since he was unable to walk for almost a week. Dee had no adverse effects. When Ken was asked if he would be doing this again, he replied, "HELL NO" !! Congratulation to the two of them!
