From the AP Press Boston MA (August 10 2020) - Scientists at MIT believe that they are on the cusp of completely changing the way the scientific world reviews the atomic structure. A team lead by Dr. Benjamin Wrought, a 23 year chemistry professor at MIT with extensive materiel and carbon fiber research and publications, believes they are just breaking the surface for new knowledge on atoms. The team is using a new microscope that that is not based on the use of current electro-magnetic technology. The MIT team is finding that the electro-magnetic microscope has produced flaws in our research of atoms. The findings are expected to be released in an upcoming article in the Journal of Science publication after peer reviews are completed. In a statement per Dr. Wrought, "it is certainly starting to show that we have been blindly trusting some bad information when it comes to atomic structure. There is so much more to be discovered than our current thinking on protons and neutrons. Our team is very excited with how this information can really impact material science going forward."
A full publication of their findings is expected to be published in October.
