Mount Union student discovers new diabetic treating algae

A University of Mount Union student in Alliance, Ohio names Jarod Hunter has recently discovered a new form of algae in a nearby pond. This algae, named by him as animogus phosi, has extracts which can treat diabetic patients in a way that has never been done.
“I was happy,” was his response to how he felt after discovering such a life-altering substance. Jarod has been working hard for Mount Union doing pond-life research under a summer project. He plans to further his education and receive a PHD in Algae studies at the University of Montana after graduation.
