Greenwich, CT - A Connecticut teen was killed in a single-car car crash on King Street on Sunday and the young driver involved is facing DUI charges, local police in Greenwich said.

The agency said William Lozinsky, 15, also of Greenwich, was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed at around 7:30 p.m. and died from his injuries. A second male teenager who has not yet been identified was sent to Greenwich Hospital, located nearby, with serious injuries.

The driver, identified as Jeffrey Ruiz, 15, was charged with driving under the influence and driving to endanger, both resulting in death and serious bodily injury. He is scheduled to visit court on Wednesday.

Eyewitness reports said the driver was driving in a 35 zone around 95 miles per hour, numbers that prove the substantial damage done to the car. State laws outline he can face 1-10 years in jail, a $2000-$5000 fine, and a license suspension for 2-5 years. In addition, he must be submitted into a correctional facility.
