Charleston, WV - On Wednesday, August 12th at approximately 2005 hours Charleston police were dispatched to Buffalo Wild Wings. According to witnesses Joel Thaxton, of Elkview and Anna Pritt, of Clendenin left Buffalo Wild Wings and seemed to be under the influence of alcohol. According to witness statements Thaxton left the parking lot running over Lea Fax, 86, of St Albans. Pritt then exited the vehicle and stated “Joel we have to go.” Fax was pronounced dead at scene by Kanawha County medics and both Thaxton and Pritt left the scene. Approximately an hour later Kanawha County Deputies swarmed the residence of the Thaxton’s and made both arrests. Both Thaxton and Pritt are being held at South Central Regional Jail without bond.
