Gabe Tijerina, a Liberty University student, recently tested positive for COVID-19. He’s the first known case of the virus at the university as classes are scheduled to return this fall by the end of August. Representatives for the University declined to comment but some students are worried more cases like this will continue to happen. As colleges and universities across the country struggle to figure out how to protect vulnerable students and provide higher education, positive test results like this are likely to ensue.
