A 17-year-old boy from San Jose was playing the popular online video game, Valorant, through the night as he suffered a stroke and died at his computer.

Ian Conway was an online video game addict who spent a majority of his quarantine in his room playing the popular first-person shooter on his computer. Medics confirmed the teenager died from a stroke which they believe was caused by playing games on computer constantly through the night.

His mother, Tracy Conway, who found him slumped dead in his chair, said that she tried to revive her son but he was already dead. "I called his name and said 'wake up, wake up' but he did not respond. I could see he was dead," Tracy, a local sales rep, was quoted as saying in Daily Mail.

Warning other parents to be careful, the teenager's mother said, "I want my son's death to be an example and warning for parents whose children are game addicts. They need to be more strict on their children's playing hours otherwise they could end up like my son."
